Join us for a series of book talks with Andrea L. Gehrz polymathic founder, publisher, translator, astrologer, author at The Moira Press. Over the next six months (taking June off) we will meet some of the texts Gehrz has published and dive deeper in to the various facets of astrology that are celebrated at the Moira Press imprint. The book talk track at CAELi is a way to “meet the author” …This is a casual chat similar to an opening/launch party at a bookshoppe. The event is a half interview/conversation with Jenn Zaht and half open Q&A from attendees. All talks are free to attend, but space is limited. Here’s the line up of dates and books:

August 3: Tetrabiblos, Book One

Andrea L. Gehrz
About the Author
Andrea Gehrz has been a professional astrologer for 24 years. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon, and works exclusively online. While she has written over 15 books on Astrology, including several ancient Greek to English translations, she is most well-known for her miraculous textbook entitled Astrological Remediation: A Guide for the Modern Practitioner. In this pinnacle text, Gehrz teaches the reader how to resolve ANY problem in an astrological chart. Nowadays, Andrea can be found at the Moira Press, running classes and high-level astrology events. During the Tuesdays forum for example, astrologers from all over the globe read high level textbooks and have deep discussions about the topic of the week. Then, they party for hours afterwards. Gehrz also teaches a Master Class every Saturday at Noon PST, aimed at people trying to learn how to read their own chart or become astrologers themselves. Jenn Zahrt, PhD
About Your Host
Jenn Zahrt is an author, publisher, and teacher of cultural astronomy and astrology. In 2017 she was appointed as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She researches the many forms of astrology emergent across human cultures past and present, with a special focus on early twentieth-century German culture. She has taught and lectured domestically and internationally in places such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. She is the founder of Revelore Press, creative director of the Sophia Centre Press, and the deputy editor of the peer-reviewed journal Culture and Cosmos. In 2020 she became the Senior Editor of The Mountain Astrologer, and in 2021 she founded the Celestial Arts Education Library Institute in Olympia, WA, where she currently lives.
