The web site accessible through www.caeli.institute and any affiliated portals, apps, or other channels (the “Website”) is owned, operated and distributed by Revelore LLC, a Washington Corporation (“Revelore,” “we” or “us”). BY ACCESSING ANY PART OF THE WEBSITE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DESCRIBED BELOW (THE “PRIVACY NOTICE”) AND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CELESTIAL ARTS EDUCATION LIBRARY TERMS OF USE (THE “TERMS OF USE”). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY OF THESE TERMS, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THE CAELI WEBSITE.

This Privacy Notice applies to all users, including both users who are simply viewing the Website and users who are also contributors of content, information, and other materials or services on the Website. Please note that any User Submission (as defined in the Terms of Use) becomes published content and may not be subject to all the rights available to your personal information as described in this Privacy Notice once it is published.

Where permitted by law, CAELi may, at its sole discretion, modify this Privacy Notice at any time. By accessing the Website at any time after such modifications, you are agreeing to such modifications.

What Personal information Does CAELi Collect?

During your use of the Website or through other communication with us, CAELi may collect and process certain personal information (also commonly referred to as personal data, personally identifiable information, or PII). You may affirmatively provide us with personal information, or, in some cases, it may be collected automatically as described in this Notice and in our Cookie Policy.

Personal information collected directly from you:

  • Website users, email subscribers, and Experience purchasers: name, email address, or other contact information.
  • Purchasers of events: name, email address, phone number, other contact information, billing information. (Note that CAELi may not collect this information directly, and it may be collected by our partners at the time of scheduling.)
  • User Submissions: You will also have the opportunity to submit content for inclusion on the Website as described in the Terms of Service. You control what personal information is collected from you via User Submissions, and you provide such User Submissions knowing that the submission may become public.   • DO NOT PROVIDE CERTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION: Please note that you should not submit to CAELi any sensitive data relating to your
    • (i) racial or ethnic origin
    • (ii) political beliefs
    • (iii) philosophical or religious beliefs
    • (iv) membership of a trade union or political party
    • (v) physical or mental health or genetic makeup
    • (vi) addictions, sexual life or
    • (vii) the commission of criminal offences or proceedings and associated penalties or fines, unless you have previously sent to us your written consent that we may process such Personal Information, if CAELi determines consent to be a requirement of applicable law. If you provide such sensitive data CAELi, that data will be promptly deleted.

Personal and non-personal information not provided by you:

  • “Cookies, ” Log-File Information, and “Clear-GIFs”: When you visit the Website, CAELi utilized certain technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. How Does CAELi Use Personal information?

Any personal information that you voluntarily disclose online (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, within your public profile page, through a User Submission, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others. Your account name (not your email address) is displayed to other Users when you make a User Submission, and other users can contact you through messages and comments. Once that personal information is made public, CAELi does not control subsequent use of that personal information, and you may be unable to exercise your data privacy rights as described in this Notice.

We use information, including personal information, that we collect about you or that you provide to us for a variety of purposes, including:

  • To present our Website and its content to you.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Website.
  • To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.

Please note that there may be latency in deleting your personal information from our servers and backup storage, and we may retain your personal information in order to comply with the law, protect our rights, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

CAELi uses aggregated information (such as anonymous user usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to improve the quality and design of the Website and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing user preferences and trends. In addition, CAELi may use “cookies” clear gifs and log file information to deliver content (which may include third party advertisements) specific to your interests and remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it each time you visit the Website. Will CAELi Share Personal information with Others?

CAELi will not share your personal information (such as name or email address) with other, third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you have the ability to opt-in or opt-out.

CAELi may provide personal information to employees, consultants, affiliates or other businesses or persons for the purpose of processing such information on its behalf. CAELi may share non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third-parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the Website and to serve interest-based ads on both the Website and trusted partner applications.

In addition, CAELi may release personal information: (i) to the extent we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with any applicable law, enforce any provision of the Terms of Use, protect itself against any liability, defend itself against any claims, protect the rights, property and personal safety of any user or protect the public welfare; or (ii) to respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant.

Third-party Advertisers

CAELi may allow other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements within the Website. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on the Website. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content you see. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks for more information on their practices and for instructions on how to opt-out of certain practices. This Privacy Notice does not apply to them, and CAELi cannot control their activities.

We may use data from Google’s Interest-based advertising or 3rd-party audience data (such as age, gender and interests) with Google Analytics. You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of general interested-based advertising via the NAI Consumer Opt Out. Is My Information Secure?

If you are located outside the United States, in particular if you are located in Switzerland or the European Union (“EU”), please note that we and our servers are located in the United States. Any information that you provide to us may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries around the world where we do business. If we receive a CCPA request from you, we will first make a determination regarding the applicability of the law, and we will then take steps to verify your identity prior to responding. The steps to verify your identity may vary based on our relationship with you, but, at a minimum, it will take the form of confirming and matching the information submitted in the request with information already held by CAELi and/or contacting you through previously used channels to confirm that you submitted the request (i.e. confirming identity through contact information that we have on file, not the contact information submitted to make the request).

Your rights as stated here can also be exercised by an authorized agent on your behalf. CAELi will follow the standards set by the Attorney General of California regarding designation of an authorized agent to exercise rights under CCPA. In addition to CCPA, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of the Website who are California residents to request certain information regarding its disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. In the Event of Merger, Sale, or Bankruptcy

In the event that CAELi is acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign the information we have collected from users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of CAELi’s bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors’ rights generally, CAELi may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.

Children's Privacy

You must be 18 years and older to register to use the Website. As a result, CAELi does not collect information about children.
