What's Happening
Astrology is always already synastric. When two astrologers meet and ask, what’s your SMR, they’re sizing up their synastry like dogs meeting in a park. Sniff, sniff: “Will we get along, will it last?” or “Why don’t we get along and how can we shift it...” these questions cut across all relationships, not just romantic ones.
In this 3-day intensive, we’ll explore the many ways we can compare charts between people in both natal and timed tech. We will also make use of the Vertex, that mysterious “electrical” Ascendant (Johndro) that draws the most unusual characters into our sphere. Myriad primary and secondary sources from the CAELi stacks will accompany our journey, and you’ll leave with a Swiss Army knife of relational tools to help you help people connect with their kith and kin.
Weekend Schedule:
- Friday (12pm-2pm): Simple Synastry, Temperaments, Element Review
- Saturday Morning (10am-12pm): Methods of Chart Comparison: Bi-wheel, Midpoints, Davison Charts
- Saturday Afternoon (2pm-4pm): Phase Considerations, Named Asteroids
- Sunday Morning (10am-12pm): Timing Relationships
- Sunday Afternoon (2pm-4pm): Synthesis, Counseling Ethics

THIS LAB INCLUDES:
- 10+ hours of hands-on instruction.
- break-out sessions, explorative research time, and Q&As to build understanding.
- access to primary and secondary sources in the CAELi library collection.
- access to a private online portal in the CAELi virtual campus for our use before, during, and after the intensive.
- recordings of the entire weekend’s lectures.

- all students who complete their final project will receive continuing education credits towards the CAELi Certificate in Comparative Astrology (CCOMPAS).

Dr Jenn Zahrt
Dr Jenn Zahrt loves creating spaces where your astrology can flourish by feeling the freedom to play with complex techniques in the safety of a living learning environment that is especially enriching for neurodynamic brains. She founded CAELi in 2021. She writes the Bound Report, hosts the Within Orb podcast, serves as the president of the International Society for Astrological Research, a company director of Sophia Centre Press, and the engine behind Revelore Press (US). Her poetry and translations have been published worldwide, and she really, like really loves comparative astrology.
