Purchase Agreement
This Purchase Agreement is applicable to all membership levels: Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime. By accessing, browsing, or using the services of the Celestial Arts Education Library (CAELi) or by selecting “I Accept” during the membership registration, you represent that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Membership Agreement.
Nature of the Service
CAELi is a member-supported, subscription based social network, facilitating the access of research and published works of the Astrological Community. Membership levels require recurring payments (either on a monthly or annual schedule) with no end date, unless specifically stated during sale events. Lifetime memberships are sold using a one-time payment, granting membership rights to the subscriber indefinitely. CAELi provides to its members benefits such as but not exclusive to: access to the library building, admission to events with advance notice for registration, book club participation, digital scan credits (also known as “Points”), and discounted access to special publications such as The Mountain Astrologer and other magazines.
User Registration and Information
Member shall fill in the correct information requested in the User Agreement form during the registration process. Member shall be required to promptly update the User Information on the My Account/Profile page of the site, ensuring all information is accurate. The member’s email will be used as the member’s username and a temporary password will be auto-generated for the member’s first login. Member shall update their password by selecting the “Lost Password” link upon their next login to have a reset link sent to their email. Member shall be responsible for: a) all use of the site made by the Member’s username and password, and b) maintaining the confidentiality of the Member’s username and password.
Release
If the Member has a dispute with one or more other Members, the Member shall release CAELi (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and employees) from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such dispuutes.
CAELi shall not sell or rent Members’ personal information to third parties without Members’ explicit consent. CAELi shall not store and process Members’ information on computers located in unsecure settings. However, CAELi shall be permitted to access and modify (if needed) Members’ information. Terminating Membership
CAELi Members are free to pause or cancel their subscriptions at any time, without penalty or future charges to their payment card. To do so, a Member can select the option that best fits them on their My Account/Profile page. Additionally, Members can send an email to membership@caeli.institute and request an administrator to pause or cancel a subscription. If a subscription is paused and a Member wishes to resume their subscription, the Member shall send an email to membership@caeli.institute and request their membership to be resumed. If a subscription is cancelled and a Member wishes to renew their subscription, the Member shall repurchase the subscription from the Memberships page.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless CAELi and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from:
- (i) your use of and access to the Service;
- (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms of Service;
- (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right;
- (iv) any claim that one of your User Submissions caused damage to a third party; or
- (v) any action taken by a third party using your account or user ID. This obligation will survive these Terms of Service and your use of the Service.
